The next big level of advocacy is being revolutionized. It’s here: The Scientist Post !
As an youth ambassador has indeed propelled my reach to an breathtaking length of which I personally owe to the amazing changes and challenges which have been taking place so far since April 2014. Being inspired from: “With great power comes great responsibility.” Bestowed with a responsible expedition to carry the global momentum for ‘Education For All’ forward it has been my responsibility in my networks and move in to the next level of advocacy efforts with renewed efforts and enthusiasm. Recently, I’ve founded and established a one-of-a-kind media advocacy channel in India, especially focused on our efforts in global advocacy and ‘Right to Education’. The prime objectives are to direct the views and opinions of researchers and scientists and raise their voices for global education. It has been digitally designed with an aim to interact and communicate with research scientists, educationists and other persons who has a way with science and social temper. What The Scientist Post believes that there is a need to showcase the thoughts of the legends that dig deep into the unknown and ‘science’ it, in much broader scale and should reach the masses in a redefined way? We do know – with positive thoughts, true and clear outlook, do have spectacular power to transform any state of the society we live in. Being passionately curios to know the lives of educational journey of awe-inspiring scientists of contemporary times, how and what they feel for education, believing that we can discover that hidden noble thoughts and ideas which can act as a super-catalyst in transforming the status of education around the world, thus embarked on establishing The Scientist Post with efforts to take advocacy efforts with the likes of extraordinary scientists who most of the time keeps discovering the world behind us in laboratories and excite us with inventions and discoveries and who knows maybe someday with the innovative applications of science & technology and social sciences we can see a better world where education would be available for all – precisely 58 million children out-of-school. Discovery can make it happen! So far, the interactions and the musings with The Scientist Post have been delightful and surprising. In a recent interactive session, it was indeed inspiring to know the educational journey of a few researchers who has been involved in diverse fields coming from elite educational and scientific research & development laboratories like the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research, Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, & Indian Institutes of Science Education Research (Kolkata). Award winning incredible scientists on interaction with The Scientist Post gave valuable insightful opinions. One of leading eminent scientists Rama Govindarajan quotes: “I admire anyone who serves noble cause and giving children their rights is one of the noblest things to aspire for. No child should be out of school. It is a child’s birth right to get an education”. Aruna Dhathathreyan, chief scientist from the World’s Largest Leather Research Institute finds inspirational as: A primary school teacher in a remote village in Ooty who is trying to bring his children to attend school after walking 5 km every day to reach school, all those teachers in government colleges who are trying their best to educate their students in spite of poor laboratory or institutional facilities, any individual who is motivating children to take up reading as a hobby-all these people are my inspiration. Thus, that was a brief outline of my advocacy efforts of which I am currently experimenting with and hopeful of desired, satisfied and sustained results, to strengthen our mission and of course, making the initiative much larger I am looking forward to work with inasmuch young people as possible who are coming from diverse backgrounds.
